‘The Theory of Everything’ requires tissues.

Today was a day of avoiding responsibilities and going to see a movie. And that movie was a love story, more then anything else.

The Theory of Everything is the story of the physicist Stephen Hawking and Jane Wilde, the literature student he fell in love with while studying at Cambridge in the 1960s.

I enjoyed the film, even if my views on life differ with that of Hawking’s. It’s a art biopic, part love story and it doesn’t overcrowd you with scientific theories and the creation of our existence. It’s a well acted, well told drama that may, at some points, shift too smoothly through it’s telling.

The only annoyance that I had of the film was after so many years of being together, after all that they had been through, and how she had so tirelessly committed herself to looking after Hawking, they decided to part. But as life goes, that’s the way the cookie crumbles.

Film-O-Meter: 7/10
