Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates tells the story of two hard-partying brothers place an online ad to find the perfect dates for their sister’s Hawaiian wedding. Hoping for a wild getaway, the boys instead find themselves out-hustled by an uncontrollable duo.
What an insanely wild ride was this film was. Despite it apparently being based on a true story, it was a horribly despicable film. Even from looking in the poster, let alone the title of the film, it was obvious what everyone was getting into when they walked into the cinema. It was hardly believable that Adam Devine and Zac Efron were even related to each other in the first place, playing brothers in…in…whatever this trash is.
I love both Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza but to be honest, Kendrick could do and can do so much better. It hardly seems like a film she would be in and she hardly fits into the role she plays. It was awkward and painful to watch. In saying all of this, however, all the actors in this trash pile of a film are all great comedian’s but their roles in this hardly plays into their favour.
It’s mind numbingly painful to watch and I’d rather repeatedly punch myself in my face.
